A Chronicle of the Children of Richard I Baratheon, the Storm Dragon, and Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen

1. Emperor Daemon I Baratheon

  • Born: 299 AC

  • Dragon: Aurion, a great silver-scaled beast with black wings.

  • Appearance: Carried the storm-born strength of his father but bore Valyrian features—silver-gold hair and violet eyes.

The firstborn son and heir, Daemon succeeded his father as Emperor of Westeros and Western Essos, styled Daemon I, Emperor of Westeros and Western Essos. Trained from youth in politics and war, he was a natural leader, inheriting Richard’s fire and Daenerys’s compassion.

He was crowned in the Great Imperial Throne Hall of Rygoros, with his mother, the Empress Dowager, counselling him. His reign was marked by continued consolidation of the empire and the expansion of its fleets. Unlike his father, who was often seen as a conqueror, Daemon was known as a builder and preserver.

2. Princess Elaena Baratheon

  • Born: 299 AC (twin to Daemon, though not identical)

  • Dragon: Nyssaria, a pearl-white dragon with streaks of gold.

  • Appearance: Strong resemblance to her mother, with silver hair and violet eyes; considered one of the great beauties of her age.

Elaena was a beloved figure in the Imperial Court, often styled The Silver Rose of Rygoros. She embodied Daenerys’s grace and political sense, often serving as mediator between fractious nobles. Her correspondence with foreign dignitaries in High Valyrian was legendary, cementing alliances across the Eastern Realm.

Though she never reigned, Elaena wielded great influence as Imperial Princess of Courtesy, echoing the role her aunt Marianne had played in earlier years.

3. Prince Aegor Baratheon, Prince of Pentos

  • Born: 300 AC

  • Dragon: Maelyth, a dark green dragon with golden eyes.

  • Appearance: Carried both dragonlord elegance and the Baratheon sturdiness.

Aegor was appointed Governor of Pentos and granted the title Prince of Pentos by his father. Unlike Daemon, who was a centralizing ruler, Aegor was entrusted with frontier power. He turned Pentos into a thriving provincial capital, balancing its merchant traditions with Imperial authority.

He became known as a skilled naval strategist, often supporting the Imperial Fleet in campaigns across the Narrow Sea.

4. Princess Rhaella Baratheon

  • Born: 301 AC

  • Dragon: Delyrax, a deep red dragon with orange-tipped wings.

  • Appearance: Silver hair with her mother’s delicate features; named after Queen Rhaella Targaryen.

Rhaella was beloved for her piety and became associated with the Imperial Cult of the Old Gods of Valyria and R’hllor. Her patronage of temples and priesthoods gave her the title Light of the Empire. She often traveled as a representative of the Imperial House, ensuring unity among diverse faiths.

5. Prince Rhaegon Baratheon

  • Born: 303 AC

  • Dragon: Voryth, a bronze-scaled dragon.

  • Appearance: Fierce, broad-shouldered, with strong Valyrian traits.

Rhaegon was a warrior prince, echoing his aunt Rosalia in spirit. He served as Imperial General of the Order of the Golden Sun, leading campaigns in the Eastern Realm. His discipline and martial talent made him one of the most respected generals in the Imperial Army.

6. Prince Duncarys “Duncan” Baratheon

  • Born: 304 AC

  • Dragon: Tessarionyx, a black dragon with silver horns.

  • Appearance: Unique among his siblings—black Baratheon hair with violet-blue eyes, blending both bloodlines.

Named after his Baratheon grandfather in a Valyrian form, Duncan became the symbol of unity of bloodlines. He was a scholar-prince, famed for his studies of dragonlore, magic, and history. He often advised his brothers and sisters in matters of culture and law.

7. Princess Rhaenyra Baratheon

  • Born: 305 AC (twin to Alysanne)

  • Dragon: Meraxes II, a golden-red dragon.

  • Appearance: Black-haired like her father, yet with violet eyes; spirited and bold.

Named for her grandmother, Princess Rhaenyra Daeragon, she inherited the storm-fire of both families. Known for her temper and courage, she became a defender of the empire’s frontier provinces, often journeying to Starkland and the North to oversee resettlement after the war against the White Walkers.

8. Princess Alysanne Baratheon

  • Born: 305 AC (twin to Rhaenyra)

  • Dragon: Valerion, a silver-scaled dragon with violet eyes.

  • Appearance: Inherited the full Valyrian look—pale hair, violet eyes, striking beauty.

Gentle and wise, Alysanne was compared to Queen Alysanne Targaryen of old. She championed the rights of smallfolk and women, often accompanying her mother on charitable works. Her soft power and patronage of healing houses and orphanages earned her love across both Westeros and Essos.

The Legacy of the Eight

Together, the children of Richard and Daenerys became the pillars of the Baratheon Dynasty, expanding the empire’s influence beyond the reach of one throne. Each carried the storm and dragon in different measure—warrior, scholar, ruler, healer.
