Capitals of the Eastern Realm (14 Provinces)


1. Braavos — Capital: Braavos City

  • Role: Braavos is the largest city in the entire Empire and serves as the capital of the Eastern Realm.

  • Palace & Administration: Within its walls lies the Oryshall Palace, one of the Imperial Family’s official residences outside of Rygoros, and the ceremonial throne of the East. The city is governed by the Prince of Braavos, an extended member of the Baratheon Dynasty.

  • Economy: Braavos is the Empire’s financial center, housing the main seat of the Iron Bank, now the National Bank of the Empire. Its shipyards and naval power also make it the heart of the Imperial Fleet’s Eastern operations.

  • Cultural Role: Known for its cosmopolitan society, Braavos symbolizes the blending of Westerosi and Essosi traditions under the Empire.


2. Lorath — Capital: Lorath City

  • Role: A northern isle city, Lorath serves as a smaller yet vital trade hub for northern Essos.

  • Culture: Saath represents the Imperial preservation of ancient cultures—what once was a dead civilization is now revived.


7. Duncania — Capital: Stormwrath

  • Role: A newly-founded city built by Emperor Richard, Stormwrath honors his father, Duncan Baratheon.

  • Military Role: A fortress-city, Stormwrath is designed as a military staging point for campaigns into the grasslands and eastern Essos.

  • Symbolism: Its very name and red-stone design emphasize the Baratheon legacy.
